225buick to hell wit a small block

TtopIroc oh and id personally recomend a SB just because of the weight issue....
10-09-2002 06:35 PM
TtopIroc another thing to look at is the rear tires. the biggest you can get is 265/50/16 with the stock suspension set up. So unless your good at designing suspension systems your not ever gonna hook up....

no these cars arent crap and they have as much potential as any other car out there. Some people just like living in the past.....

slider Ya know? This sounds like a gasser, somewhere around a "B", "C", or "D". Not too much in the way of competition if you think, instead of just buy..

Now think about this. Let's go 165, a real 165. On gas. On the cruise. With Santana (Whatever) legible (Outside?). Being cool. That means with the air going, guys. A 1995 Mustang GT Police or Turbo 2.3 would and can still do 140/145. We are supposed to be smart, well except for certain Willy's drivers car smart right? He's just sorta out there with Paul, maybe 4Jaws too. There is no reason a third gen Camaro or Firebird can't do this with a small block. A 70 to 81 would be one h#$l of a ride though. The darn cars just look so good.

67-camaro-69 fords 460's were never really the qualiy of gm's 454, they were good but chevy and dogde just had better engines

4 Jaw Chuck Tube frame and cage to strengthen the frame, as for money in drag racing? There is lots of it but you will be spending it! If you are looking to make money, your in the wrong sport.

67-camaro-69 i was doing some research and if wanna do this its fie, but your gonnna wanna get like a 10 point roll cage, somethin that will really protect you if you roll it, these are not very sturdy cars, and about your money question, pick a differant forum to ask it in, this is an engines forum

JdOwNj If its gotta be a gm product, use a G body... they are much stronger, otherwise, stick a 460 in a stang.

Tom 3rd gen f bodies are not a very strong base to start from, you will need subframe connectors and a cage and it still won't be strong enough for a big block.the rears are made for vegas and if it has t tops forget about it...but this is not to say it can't be done, I wouldn't concider it myself, in fact I have an 86 Trans Am I started to build ,but after several inbred design flaws I quit and decided these cars are crap and I wouldn't waste my time and money on GMs very poor excuse for a performance car. When they announced they would stop building them I was relieved that the miserable 3rd and 4th generation would no longer tarnish the reputation of earlier years I 'm sorry but I just think 3 and 4s are absolute junk
