Unfortunately Its always easier to replace the pins & bushings then adjust the door first,before you make the first cut. This way if theres a structual problem causing an alignment issue you'll be able to address it first.
If everything is fine you would start with the rear door to 1/4 gap then the rocker to door bottom gap then mount the rad support and square it up using an X measure,then last the front door to fender gap.
Before you start to adjust a door always be sure to remove the striker first and replacing it last...

Now I'm no expert but I would first make sure the car was on the tires not jack stands or on jack stands under the rear axle and by the ball joints. I would then make sure you replace the door bushings and pins. Then enlist a friend for help and attach the door to the lower a-pillar loosely and support the back of the door with a jack with a rag on it to protect the door. Then close the door adjust the stricker to the desired position and totem the door hinges to the body. Then I would bolt the fenders on loosely and place the hood on it. To align the hood gap well aligning the door gaps.

front fender alignment
I have a 1970 Buick Skylark that I am installing new quarter panels. I replaced the bottom of the front fenders behind the wheel wells and now I want to install the front end but I am at a loss to get started. It is a two door convertible so I should be able to adjust the door gaps at the back of each door and set the gaps between the doors and fenders. Any tips on the first thing to do on the fenders?
