onlyfnway I spoke with the builder and he is going to pull the trans back out and inspect all componets. He still has all the instructions to the kit so he will go back over the install to make sure it was done correctly. Thanks for all the help.

in the 700 2-3 kit it has separate instructions for both type 1 and type 2 valve bodies, was the instructions followed properly for your valve body (not mixing up instructions between type 1 and type 2)?
also, are you sure that you set up the 2-3 accumulator in the servo with the right amount of washers?
other than that, id have to go dig out the instructions to my kit to see what else may have happened as i put 1 of these kits in my 72 ventura.
the thought of not getting pressure rise is not a bad thought, its just typical that if you have a flare, its going to be in more than 1 shift.

louis165 Did you check it with a gauge. Did the pressure rise ...I would disconnect the lockup just to test . Mine is shorter out in the trans ..the guys here will point you in the right direction

onlyfnway Yea we jerked yanked coused kicked nothig worked. I need to keep my lockup because it has a 4k stall in it.

louis165 I am not a trans guy but the same thing happened to mine I'm not sure what fixed it first thing I did was check the fluid pressure and found that the tv cable did not raise the line pressure so I pulled the cable all the way out and gave it a few jerks and I disconnected the tork converter lockup .went test drove started out shift at 4500 and worked my way up problem fixed ... I never hooked lockup back up so I really don't know what it was ..

onlyfnway The trans will go in to third, but when i shift at 6400rpm the rpms will flash to about 7100 rpm. the trans has about 1k on it. it also has the transgo 700-2-3 performance kit installed. thanks for the quick reply

could be a few things offhand that i can think of...
1st, it could be that the checkball capsule in the case, could be in the 2-3 accumulator in the servo, 3-4 clutch apply piston has cut lip seal, or 3-4 clutches have too much clearance. or the 1-2, accumulator piston and pin are worn.
is this a new build or a high mileage trans?
the transgo jr kit addresses a 2-3 flare/cut loose shift as theyre known to have this problem.

Ok heres my problem. I have 700r4 and the 1/2 shift is still good the 2/3 shift started to flash at high rpm shifts. took it to a local shop they pulled the pan no clutch fiber no metal shavings nothing. then pulled the valve body inspected it all, couldnt find anything. has anybody ran across this problem in the past. we have adjusted the dtent cable a 100 diff ways and it does not correct the issue. Any and all help is grately appreciated. Thanks
