Well, the Impala went into part-out phase. There are couple of B-Body clubs around so the hopefully the parts will go quick. Some parts have already been sold.
Made some progress on the '77 Chevy truck. I tore into the carb, cleaned it up and put it back together. Been working on making a timing tape myself to make sure the timing is right on.
Made some pretty good progress on setting up the pegboard in the garage. Everything has gone up. I'm moving out the clutter slowly but surely. I have this flex neck metal lamp that doesn't but I'm gonna try and see if it can be fixed. It just seems at home on the work bench.
Also began looking at the '84 Camaro. I bought it with an Edlebrock carb that supposedly needed a rebuild. After stopping the local carb shop from rebuilding it right after they cleaned it up, I decided I would put it together myself. To date, the carb sits in parts in the same try it came home in. I had purchased a Holley in the mean time but never set it up. Thought I would get that set up and see how/if the engine fires up, but having no experience, I decided to get help here. I need to think about the future of drag racing in LA before proceeding with this car, since all the strips are now closed. Maybe another car on its way to being sold off or a part out...
Of course, with the truck running right and the two cars gone, I can turn my attention to the '96 Z28. One last ride before the gas gets to be tooooo much.
Anyone else have any updates?

Work on the '77 truck continues, slowly but surely. The members continue to be both very helpful and patient, especially since I take a long time before reporting back on what I have done (availability issue), and can be all over the place with my posts because of everything I am reading in between working on the truck. At this stage, it seems to me that the trucks doesn't have one but several issues going on at once, which may require some tearing-down and repeating what I did last summer, but with a lot more attention to detail. But all in all, I am getting a better understanding oh how carb'd engines work. Understanding engine vacuum has been a bit tricky, but I am getting a better feel for it. Hopefully this well help me develop a better ear for such vehicles. Learning is a never-ending project...
Speaking of learning, I am working on getting my automotive math skills down and decided to start looking for books on the subject matter. I am planning on buying "Auto Math Handbook HP1554: Easy Calculations for Engine Builders, Auto Engineers, Racers, Students, and Performance Enthusiasts". It is an updated version of the 1991 edition, so hopefully it have appropriate and relevant updates. Other recommendations are always welcome and very much appreciated.
I've also spent some time on the continued reorganization of the garage. I have officially set up my peg board, but hopefully I haven't gone overboard with everything I've put on there. Some trial and error and watching which tools I end up using the most should help get it set up just right. The work bench looks so inviting now that if it weren't for the weather, I'd be doing my homework on it lol! Hmmm, maybe I can set up a lap top, a nice reading lamp and comfy stool in there...
Now that Irwindale Speedway has shut down, and I can only go so often to the Auto Club Speedway, I won;t be able to do as much drag-racing photography as I'd like to.
Slowly moving along in the direction of learning how to weld. Just added a portable table swivel vise from Harbor Freight to the collection. I ordered and have been reading "Ready, Set, Weld!: Beginner-Friendly Projects for the Home & Garden". I know its not automotive-related, but I figured the projects would be far more simple. And they are. One of the interesting things about female authors is that when they write a book on a subject that is traditionally considered male-oriented, they will write with the assumption that the reader has no clue what she or he is doing. Well, that's me.
How are your projects coming along? Any new ones get added along the way?

Aside from that, work on the '77 truck continues as time allows (and it seems to get more and more scarce every week). Right now, its tracking down some mysterious hesitation and bogging. The fantastic members are being both patient and helpful, as always.

Boy there sure are a lot of construction and organization projects. I gotta say my list doesn't look as challenging after reading some of the responses.

I'm still messing with idea of selling off the '95 SS. Its seems like I have new reason every hour to sell/part out or not sell. Im having to work hard on creating a detachment. I need help
Aside from that, I got some garage organization done and now I am formulating some plans for building some storage spaces.

1. Upgrade the AC in my Rambler.
2. Rebuild a 1974 J-10 pickup. Not exactly a hot rod, just a daily driver. Doing some upgrades, but will be pretty stock appearing. Thinking seriously about a small turbo on the I-6 -- mainly for gas mileage, expect the turbo to max out at 3500 rpm and become a bottle neck at higher rpm. But boost will come in early and be right full on (only 5-7 psi) in the cruising range (2000-2500 rpm). That should be good for power AND add some gas mileage.

I have some shop (garage) new years resolutions too, but they are WAY off in the distance of importance. I MUST put the cars first at this point.

Finish my shop. This involves
1)clearing out/cleaning up
2) finish interior wall insulation and cladding
3) install ceiling insulation and ceiling (with lights)
4) install the two 4-post hoists
5) install the compressor and airlines
6) install the boiler for the hydronic heating
THEN- set priority for which car gets attention first, and arrange shop accordingly
