BOBCRMAN@aol.com Did the second repair on my chineese plasma cutter today. Five years and one off/on switch and now the air regulator died. Took it apart and didn't see anything. Re-assembled it and it worked for about twenty minutes and died again. Replaced it with another "almost fit" regulator to get by till a new one comes.

Started wiring the Stude. Trying to use as much of the stock switches/stuff as possible.

Mounted a central power/fuse box on the interior firewall just to the right and higher than the gas pedal. I am using a five cirquit fuse box (original was two) and old style glass fuses.. I know thats terrible, but I have dozens of the boxes, thousands of glass fuses and this is an early sixties/seventies drag car.

Got the line-lock wired up and the off/on light is now the oil/temp idiot light on the dash.

funny as hell , but in all fairness the computer wont let them look up the part without all the bs info.

i like my local napa the old guy that works the counter is basically a walking catalog, i can walk in tell him what i need and he walks in the back and comes out with it without ever touching the computer

TucsonJay Not a bad idea.

I hate using heavy flake for only one reason... It is like radiation!!! Just the "half-life" is 10,000 years!

That is how long I will be finding unplanned "sparkles" in future paint jobs! {:-(
LOL, I assume it is difficult to charge extra for them.

silentpoet Fixed the steering on my truck. Found a bushing for 3.40 that pretty much fixes it. Not perfect but feels safe driving it now. The turn signal now self cancels too.

Also rigged a wrench to serve as an inside door handle. It isn't great but it does sort of work and is better than the vice grips it replaces.

LOL. It sounds like you are a wise man.

I cleaned the shop up some today. One should never sandblast in their shop.

I also installed a couple if the interior panels with drill screws. I just couldn't stand it.
