I really want both but its hard to sell any thing in rural areas. I have even posted a buy one get one free on two of my cars in craigslist but the closest citys here are over 2 hours away so no bites. Sucks. So anyways I can get the 1974 dodge truck or the 1970 chevelle 4 door.

The Dodge is 2 grand and 2 hours trip. Needs fuel and speedo gauges fixed, tires, windshield and god only knows what else. Im trading my truck for it. Oh and it has the 318 and auto trans. Motor was "rebuilt" so im told.

The chev is my old car. Well the same year and style. Me and my wife took our first date ever in that car and she never lets me forget how I ran out of gas that day when I bring it up. Hey at least I had a full gas can in the trunk..... That car is 3 grand and needs some motor work of some sort. Something with the distributor but it runs. Has the 307 but the powerglide was changed out for a 350 cause a past owner rebuilt it and dropped it unloading it out of the truck and cracked the case. Is that a bad ohman? This car is a 4 hour drive plus a huge inconvenience. I would have to trade the Dodge and a project car I have. Rent a dolly and play musical trucks etc etc. That would turn a 6 hour day into a 12 hour day.

What should I do. I think I should just wait on the Chevelle. Here is why I say that. Its a 4 door. Sure they are not all over the place but still somewhat easy to find. Ive already let one slip threw my hands though. What would u guys do? I wish my other two cars would sell so I can just get both. I was totally jacking my wifes buick only it wont sell!!!!!! lol.

what one will YOU get more use out of..
once you get passed that,, 3k for a 4 door, it better be rust free for 3k..
if you need a truck the chevelle is pointless..
both need work..
I'd offer 1500.00 for the velle if it's in fairly good shape..
the p/u if you need one.. or rather it over a car..

No rust holes but it has some where the truck does not. The car being a 4 door is a plus for me cause I have two baby seats. I also can put a hitch on the car and tow my boat, small trailer, and pop up camper if I need too but I can not haul 4 people with the truck. We have other cars though so its really its just what seems like the best deal and also, what would be more cool to have. Im stumped on that one. Maybe I should get the truck and find another chev in the next year or two. I cant offer the guy half of what he wants lol.

Chevelle all the way!
(I nearly despise that vintage of rattle-trap Dodge trucks)

Think about it.
The "first date" factor?
The "room for my babies"? ...
Momma's going be a lot more forgiving of every dollar you have to spend on that car. :D

As you get a little older, you'll begin to appreciate the 4-door ... not having your cheek pressed against the windshield by your teenager who needs out in a hurry at that roadside Texaco station.
