One PCV and one crankcase vent is all you need - unless there is something wrong internally with that engine - i.e. broken ring(s), sloppy valve guides. As far as buying a 'new' engine, if it wasn't a Ford or Ford Racing Division engine, it's a remanufactured engine from anyone else. This is a Ford Racing 5.0, and absolutely no blow by in several thousand miles.

|427feracer||I went to the o'riellys and bought two pcv valves and a T and hooked both of them up one on each valve cover. So far no blowby and when i bought the engine it came with four holes in the valve covers two in each cover it had three breathers and one pcv that was not the correct style. i replaced the wrong pcv and so far no blowby! ill get you a picture of the setup.|

it need to breathe more. the engine is closed up to tight. if need be put breathers in valve covers

|kleen56||You need more than just a PVC. The PVC needs to be connected to the back of the manifold or a plate underneath the carb. The other side of the valve cover needs a breather, or a line going to the air cleaner. You may want to check the PVC as well to see if it's functioning right. Fords need to breath or you'll get blowby..|

How many miles on it, Engine breakin complete? Rings seated?

Cures for excesive blowby???
I have a 302 ford engine I bought new its been sitting forever and I decided to put it in my mustang and its a strong motor but it somehow has blowby coming out of the dipstick tube and the pcv is not fixing it. If I put a crank evac kit in it will it help eliminate this blowby?
