Chevy C10 - 350 to 454

I have a 1973 Chevy C-10 pickup I have refurbished from the last bolt and bushing. It came stock with a 350 and I have invested over $4000 in a 454 that is now in the truck. Of course the manifolds are not stock, I bought them online. Problem is that the passenger side exhaust manifold nearly touches the frame and will require frame cutting to work. Everyone tells me they know of no other way to use stock manifolds without cutting. The engine is sitting level and the driver side has plenty of space. Is this a problem of conversion, or am I using the wrong manifolds or motor mounts? I know there were problems with the 72 and earlier swaps but the 73 to 87 was suppose to be pretty simple. Help, 12 years in the works and now this. Thanks.

Wayne
