|whyholdback||You need to drive the car for 2 weeks, the springs will settle, possibly more than an inch. Then if you're still not happy, there's nothing wrong with cutting coils. I've done it to nearly all of my vehicles, with never any problem.|

cutting coils is cutting corners, imho. you went through the trouble and expense of the disc conversion and new coils, it sounds like you are not the cutting corner type.
i would make sure the coils are properly seated in the control arm cups and upper pockets, sometimes they are not seated in the oem moldings and that will make the car sit higher. it helps to use a spring compressor to allow you to assemble the control arm and spindle, then rotate the spring to the right orientation and release tension. be sure to ride around and let them settle and then decide if you need drop specific coils.

i would buy some different lowering springs
but....if you plan on cutting, you should wait a while, they will settle some

|Valkyrie5.7||Give the springs time to settle to their final ride height. I usually don't advise cutting or heating springs (especially not heating) to get to the final ride height, especially a nice pair of aftermarket ones. If they don't settle to a lower height, take them off, sell them and buy a set with lower advertised specs.|

new springs make ride to high
I recently replaced everything in the front of my 69 chevelle control arms disc brake conversion and coil springs. Now the ride is way to high.
I used moog springs and i need to cut them down some.Does anyone know about how much cutting one coil will drop the front end?
