Today was another GOOD Day!
The last week there has been a steady procession of Fed X, UPS, USPS, and Amazon ON Trac deliveries here at the homestead! Today was the arrival of my last Big order of parts and it was a good one. Cross sills, Door and deck lid skins, New inner door patch structure New wood for the Top plus a bunch of smaller one source parts.
Since I sold the 24 TCoupe I have been collecting some of the Large single expense items for the 27 Sleepy T project, so I can turn up the pace and get it going.
I have set a Goal (NOT Deadline) of having the T running and driving by the Good guys Show in Puyallup, WA next July 2017.
Oh crap now I dun it. I dun set a date to finish this dynasoar! After I sold the 24T Coupe I put back in my secret money stash the cash I used to buy this 27 Coupe with and had about that much again to spend on it.
I have been tempering my work pace based on minimal cost and maximum labor. Sometimes it is oops then it is maximum cost for minimal labor.
Now that I have a lot of these road blocks out of the way I can move forward in a focused manner. No more jumping all over trying to keep busy, it is Focus, Focus, Focus and be busy..
It's time to Kick the Liars and build the fires...

I called right away and they said they are paying me to bring it back this time. They want to find the leak and get it repaired. I found a soft area on the front interior wall this afternoon too, so maybe that is an indication of where the water is coming from. It has to be up higher to get that area wet. Roof seam, marker light ?? It all looks OK, I'm stumped.
I have been very surprised at the cost and availability of parts for the truck. I bought both front flex hoses, the rear flex hose, new master cylinder, rear wheel cylinders, hardware kits, self adjuster kits, reman shoes, 2 axle seals and gaskets and 1 park brake cable and have spent $150 on it.

Smart move attacking brakes first. I like tackling the big stuff right up front. Parts hassles on those brakes? Probably takes more doing to bed new shoes on those big boy brakes.
The green is dusty but its a decent mirror I tell the painter he is good often, and did so again as I took that pic. He cranks out beautiful stuff!
I figured the Peanut Gallery would be good for a harrumph on the wheelwell hack.

I've been working on my new "shop" truck, the '89 rollback. It had very little for brakes when I drove it home and I have since replaced almost every piece inside the rear drums.
I also made a quick 26 hour, 1,300 mile round trip to Indiana to retrieve my camping trailer after they replaced the floor. I drove in light rain on the way home and found water inside again this morning.. It's going back again next week..

Heres another day in the shop for ya-
Cleaned up the Chevelle body, did some sanding, met with customer until about 11.
Stared at my new 33 task until lunch then came back and chopped stuff for more back tire clearance.
Heres the boss loaded up for SEMA-
I think its this car I'll be going to look at tomorrow... smashed badly, "totaled" which sucks because its my favorite 69 Camaro we've had through the shop. I did a small repair under a tail light on it a few years ago. Sounds like its another case of it got away from the mechanic, but out on the road. Bumz on that but I bet its fixable. I hear the owner just can't bear to go look at it yet and is duly heartbroken. Its a sweeet ride.
