DanTwoLakes Yes, I have used some of their foam. It's good, but I don't think anybody does a really good job with re-pop seat foam. I think the PUI number would be BUN712AU, which is GM "A" body bucket seat foam.

LATECH OK , whew, I was seeing gray for a minute there. LOL
Thank you Dan. I thought they were the same but , I couldnt be sure due to conflicting info on some of the vendors i was checking out on E Bay
One guy sells seat foam and it says 1964-1965 gto seat foam, which is contradictory to what you said. Trust me I believe you, not foam guy or whoever on E Bay.The 65 GTO had the pontiac tempest(arrowhead) embossed into the seat cover, at that point I wasnt sure if the foam was the same or the seat frame for that matter.
Do you use PUI foam or ?
Would it be safe to say the PUI number will be BUN623BU ?
I also asked one vendor if the backing is adhered to the foam as in the picture, or was it just a generic picture. He answered, but he did not answer my question. My god, cant anybody get there**** together
Thanks again

DanTwoLakes No, the car's wheelbase was increased in 65, not the seat foam or covers. All three Pontiacs along with the Buick Skylark and a bunch of Chevys were the same seat frames and foam in 1964. The 64 GTO was just an option package on the Tempest, and the LeMans was the same size also.

LATECH So 64-67 used the same seat frame? But in 65-67 the foam and covers were enlarged?
I didnt think 64 gto was different thanLeMans, I did realize 63 lemans/tempest was smaller.
Thank you Dan.

DanTwoLakes I'm assuming you're talking about bucket seats. The GTO seat foam in 1964 would be the same for the LeMans and the Tempest too. The Tempest was smaller from 61 to 64 , and the first GTO in 64 was an option package on the same platform as the Tempest . The 65 GTO was bigger, as was the Tempest and LeMans, but only by 3 inches or so. My guess is that 64 through 67 were the same seats underneath for the Tempest, LeMans, and the GTO.

After doing some checking, the same seat foam, besides being in the three Pontiac models, would be in the Buick Skylark, Chevy II, Chevy Malibu, Chevelle, and Chevy El Camino for 1964. Also the Chevy Impala for 1965.

Seat Foam 1964 Le Mans

What is the correct seat foam part number for a 64 LeMans bucket.
I looked on E Bay and one dealer sells the PUI foam but the description doesnt included a LeMans, it says 1964 GTO. Did pontiac uses 2 different seats between the 2? If so it would suprise the heck outta me.
I would like to hear from anyone who knows for sure. I need to make sure I oreder the correct ones. I come up with PUI number BUN623BU....
Also is the 65 GTO seat the same (other than the outward apperance?)
Mine are 1964
