Schlock that looks awesome! I hope my seat comes out half as nice as yours!
Could you email me more pictures please?
My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. What did you do for a seat frame? Could you please send me pictures of the seat frame and how you mounted to? Thanks!!

Here are some pics of a Dodge van seat that I converted for a '32 five-window coupe. It doesn't take much to get the right look.

My son got a free leather sofa from Craigs list. He wanted the worn barn find look on his 22 Dodge lakester, the good ones have leather on the backside, enough of the right patina he wanted.

|1937MoPar||Just bought a second row seat out of a late 1990's Plymouth Voyager from the bone yard for $30, and it fits like a glove! Now I just need to get it covered in leather to make it look old.|

|DanTwoLakes||The verdict is that no modern full size truck seat will fit, they are too wide. Look at Ford Ranger, Chevy S-10, and Dodge Dakota seats, or the rear seat from any Chrysler mini van.|

So what was the final verdict for the bench seat? I have the original sear from my '37 GMC, but am considering changing to something more modern for more comfort, hopefully!

I am selling my 37 Chevy bench seat. Not sure if you still need it, as I see this is an old thread.

|DanTwoLakes||Exactly. The newer rear seats are flimsy and once out of the car can't stand on their own.|

|kristkustoms||Not to mention modern production cars rear seats have no framework whatsoever. Most of them are a 1/4" steel rod form with seat foam molded on around it. The seat foam is molded to fit the humps and bumps of the floor, so the seat foam essentially lays on top of the floor, the floor of the car is the framework... The seat back may have some framework, but when removed from the car, it won't have much support on its own.|
