power steering

My Father-in-law put a power rack off a Grand am on his 46 plymouth. I know the rack is mounted on the firewall in the grand am, he bought the tie rod and mount kit from Fatman it worked great!

John Se Power rack and pinion is not all that difficult, you need to know if you have a front steer or rear steer. I contacted the street rod companys that sell different front end conversions for rear steer they use the 80's dodge omni, for the front steer they use mustang II, then just fab up a crossmember to hold the rack and some tie rod adapters, steering adapters and power steering lines and your good to go.

I have a 1947 plymouth business coupe and i am trying to put powersteering on it. anyone have any ideas on where i could get a kit. Any ideas what i would use. I saw a kit at plydo but i cant seem to get ahold of them anymore. I have herd something about using a rack from a cavaler but? how do i attach to the tie rods? how do I attach to the frame? any ideas would be a great help.
