Yupper, As much as I love fooling with my old cars, I don't want anything to do with customer work. I was really blessed to be able to keep the cars a hobby.

The short time I had my shop I had good customers but I always worried if they understand where there money was going and why. Many times I shaved hours off the bill to make sure they felt like they got their monie's worth.

Restoration work has many challenges other than the restoration itself.

A guy on our local Chevelle site unwrapped a re-chromed bumper he has had sitting on a shelf for 6 YEARS and they sent him a bumper for a '69 instead of his '67. He never checked it to see how it looked or if it was correct....
I do generally have enough parts to hold me for the next 3-4 months work. I sure wish I'd a' bought a set of bumpers 6 years ago for my 59 BelAir project. I just drove 350 miles yesterday to drop off my very straight original cores. they had some scratches through the chrome, but NO rust or other damage. $1,600.oo was the quote for the pair

All I need to do is finish up my 59 BelAir, and install the front suspension under the Vette, so I'll have room in the shop for the Ford.

yep, I have been down there for work the last couple of days, and today was a heck of a lot nicer than yesterday

tech69 I watched The San Francisco Giants become a dynasty. That's 3 championships in 5 years. This wasn't supposed to happen this year. We did nothing to combat The Dodgers and their heavy spending to get to the post season and we got into this playoff as a wildcard with the world against us and we once again showed the doubters who the real champions are. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEW!!!
