I have a mighty wiper in my '37 coupe and have had one in a '35 pickup. Both worked great and were easy to install, and not expensive.

Would you guys read the OP, he wants an up grade not 6 volt or vacuum if I read it right.

Your truck originally had a vacuum wiper system. There are several aftermarket units. The suggested mighty wiper is one choice.

Your truck just has a single wiper, right? If so I would be looking at Mighty Wiper. They are available in 6v or 12v, use a simple on/off switch, and draw less than one amp.
Hope this helps....

I think in that vintage you probably have a 6 volt system?
If so it will probably cost you a little mopre than the guys with the 12 volt setup.
I don't know of anyone who makes the motors that run directly off 6 volts.
I had to use a power converter in my '48 Cadi in order to update the wiper system to electric. A little more costly and a few more wires and gadgets to deal with.

|EOD Guy||I used Detroit Speed delay wiper system, super easy install and comes complete with everything needed including a fuse, billet knob etc....... they are proud if it tho' to me it was well worth the money.|

For my '33 I used Specialty Power Windows and wipers.
They don't use linkage it's a push-pull cable thang making it fittable to most applications.
