ok heres what we got done so far.the frame is 2.5x 2.5 rec tube.134" corner to corner 26" wide the rear is welded in place using the axle pads out of my s10. this will be boxed in for more support. we built the rear trans mount yesterday and doing the front motor mounts today. the front end was built by T buckets 4 you off ebay. 4" drop 37 ford. speedway motors 37 spindels
i am using 19" Harley rims so these had to be respoked for the new hubs. the hubs look like the org dragula the engine is a 350 chevy im using a 62 covair steering box flipped upside down will be working on that next. we are doing this out side as my garage is small and its still up in 70s here

new rims

got these mounted yesterday 15x8 rims got these off of speedway motors kool knockoff of a Rader wheel the center caps i was thinking of spraying black and adding a white spider web design.. The only thing is these are not deep dish type. and my slicks are only 9 " wide these will work fine cause the trailer im doing mods on is only 75" wide between the tires ... if they were deepdish with a smaller back space the car would fit on the trailer

ok little bit of an up date. taped off what i could ( steering wheel, gas and break pedal) ,took off the floor board. put on 3 coats of primer then 3 coats of HOK black then 3 coats of HOK clear.. got a little bit of solvent pop but not all that bad i mean you have to be at least 12' away to really see it . so im just gonna wet sand where its not covered anything under the body im not worried about probably sand only where the motor is back to the box. took a piece of diamond plate 24x10 and made a place for the gas tank to be laid to rest. the radiator is alium. model T type so i can just polish that

ok started adding the trim maybe a little overkill but its better then a box with just the handles I wanted MTV to pimp my ride but never got any email answers...... anyway its coming along pretty good i think a lot of sanding to get everything flat and level as possible show season starts next month but im still thinking my first show will be in May

well working on the fuel lines and wiring the lights up. got all the trim work on the body and got that in primer right now. lot of little things now that have to be fixed. had to make a set screw setup for the steering linkage so if i need to remove the body i can pull out the bolt and take off the drag link. it will be ready for May show season. had it running again yesterday,... L O U D to say the least. i was wondering if i can put baffles in the pipes like bikes have

Awesome build. good blog too.

I would rather work on a car on the lawn then anywhere else.
Weather here doesnt allow that enough :( but when it does I will roll onto the lawn if the project is movable.
Outside on a slab is my second favorite place to work.
The natural light is impossible to beat for my old eyes.

How true about the wife's. Most tolerate our passion, a few even join in, then there are the poor guys who have the ones that don't like the hobby.

shot 4 coats of primer on the body and wet sanded gonna spray the kolor on today. went out and bought me a shelter logic 10x20 temp building what a B&^*& putting that up polls should be color coded not numbered put 4 pieves of 1/2" plywood down for floor also started the engine to adjust the valves a final time just to double check them, and adjust the carbs for idle and see the rear carb isnt working mmmm getting gas but not pumping out the jets seems like the pump maybe? still runs ok not going very far on and off a trailer and to parking space... multiple carbs multiple problems

You need to post this stuff in the "what did you do today thread". :D

So you gave up and built a "garage" around the car. :mwink: You are tougher than me I don't get much done without my garage.
