LATECH sounds like black with red goes to purple +
plain black goes to green -
That is how I would try it first

lmsport Unless proform can tell you the polarity of the pickup, you will have to figure it out yourself. I think the MSD instructions tell how to do it.

Magnetic pickup and MSD

I have a Proform magnetic distributor with two wires --a black and a black red stripe--can some one tell me what wire goes to the violet wire on a msd 6al and what wire goes to the green ---thanks
