That is the Tee for the light wiring at the rear of the truck. I a;ready had that. See my last post for how I found an easier way to get into the brake light circuit.

Why not do it the 'easy' way - and just go to AMAZON and get this wiring adapter
Wally World usually has them as well
I used to do mine the 'hard way' then found these and no longer needed to try to find a way to get my 220#/6'4" body under the dash .

Typically GM used the white wire from the brake light switch to the turn signal switch. This white wire can be found at the connector at the bottom of the steering column as the wires go into the steering column.

I Took A Slightly Different Route And I Got It !
Every once in a while I manage to be just a little bit smarter than what I am working on. I located the brake light relay under the hood. I then determined which spade of the relay was power out. Then I took a 16ga. wire and stuck it in the spade socket in the junction block along with the power out spade. Added benefit of doing it this way, is that it keeps from putting any additional load on the brake light switch.

Need Help With Wiring Trailer Brake Control
I have twisted my 300 lb body like a corkscrew to get under the dash of my recently acquired '98 C-1500. I am trying to get to the brake light switch to connect to the 'cold side' to wire to my trailer brake controller. I spent probably 15 minutes (seemed like longer) and did not find the switch. I would be happy just to find the wires going to the switch. Please, for the love of God, can anybody point an old fat man in the right direction ? Big Al
