THe motor i have bought has everything and is still in car. no guesswork. i have even heard this one run. hope to have it running b4 halloween. take care and thanks.

Pony Can't tell what make it is but most models of V8's place the alt. to the side and the a/c compressor in the center. The base of you alt. fits in a cradle (bracket alt bracket [--] ). The big casting bolted to the front of the head appears to have such a cradle at the lower left side of the pic. The base mount of your alt in picture fits in the cradle and a long bolt goes thru with a nut/washer combo. The upper/center part of the casting looks to be for the a/c compressor. The upper mount on the alt aprox 2" square with a threaded hole is for belt ajustment and mates with a slotted bracket, sometimes a flat 1/4 x 1.5 strap, sometimes a stamped out bracket. If you don't have one, aftermarket one can usually be made to work. Hope this helps.

Silver_Camaro You should have a black metal bracket that mounts to those 2 holes.. Then your alt mounts to the bracket.

pics included. Is this the alternator bracket???

I have included two pics of my block. Please help. I think i'm missing an alt. bracket but if the circled piece is it, how do i mount it.
