Hi guys this is my first post, as thought it may be worth talking to the guys across the pond as im based in the uk.

Im currently building up a sb chevy 350 & wandered if anyone could tell me what sort of power output I could expect? engine specs are as follows.

engine 1978 350 casting is a 397010
bored to +40
new eagle cast crank
stock conecting rods
arp bolts throughout
speed pro flat top hypertectic pistons 4 valve reliefs
clevite performer camshaft
RHS pro torker cast iron cylinder heads 12402`s
Edelbrock performer manifold
rochester quadrajet " removed from 78 caprice classic"

Ive not yet chosen Rockers as not sure if it is worth running roller rockers , or wether to stick with stock press items.

If anyone has opinions/ useful info it would be apreciated.
the engine is destined to reside inside my little ford anglia.
& wanted to maintain some form of fuel economy.

cheers
Tony

Full roller rockers are good for freeing up about 20-40 HP and will not wear on the tips of the valve stems. Jegs was having a sale on some cheaper self aligning roller rockers... I think they were around $180. Crane seems to make the best ones, around $380 I think, but they are fully rebuildable and will last a lifetime. Of course you can get the engine built and drive it around and rebuild your budget and then add the roller rockers later. The self aligning rollers are awesome since you don't have to use guide plates.

Thankyou for our response, roller rocker it is then, as I dont want to have to revisit engine components ounce its in & running.
I see there is a million different options on roller rockers, can anyone on hear recomend some that are sensible money but won't grenade the engine a yea or two down th line? I was looking around £150_ 220 mark.
