TucsonJay Since you haven't replied with a description of the truck... I will offer this.

Color gives the vehicle a certain personality. I always like for the personality to fit the vehicle.

If it is a blown Hemi powered Model A... you might want an "excitement color" like red, orange or yellow.

If it is a lowered El Camino with fender skirts and a great interior and sound system... you might want a "dreamy color" like blue or aqua.

If it is a slammed late model with a big inch V8 with injection, and 20 inch rims with wide tires... you might want a powerful "masculine color" like black, or dark red.

If you want the truck to look "exotic"... use purples, turquoise, lavender or a pink-orange.

If you want it to look valueable, use gold, dark metallics, or black.

I think this might give you idea how one color does not fit every build.

67Elcamino Cobalt blue is a great color as are thousands of others. I would recommend going to a local car show and see what the colors really look like in person and how they might look on your particular car. The worse thing is to pick a color and regret the color choice two weeks after you paint because you saw the same car painted another scheme. You can also google trucks like yours and get ideas

TucsonJay What kind of truck do you have?

Different cars like different colors. If one color was always the best choice, then hot rodders would all have the same color on every kind of project!

OneMoreTime solid color with a lite metallic..easier to shoot for someone who has not done a lot of painting..
