Anyone noticed any diference using nitrogen to shoot their paint with? I can get a 230 bottle(biggest) for $16, so it's cheap enough if it makes a difference. I know I wouldn't have a water problem.
We had a couple auto condensers hooked up to ours that worked pretty well too..I always thought An old refrigerator with a few condencers inside would work but I never had the need here..
Dont they use nitrogen/oxygen mix for diving?I remember something about Nitrogen narcosous, where the diver gets drunk and has a good ole time, forgets to come up or gets lost in underwater caves and dies
The liquid nitrogen Dewars I work with have 2 valves...a liquid and a gas valve. The liquid fitting has a dip tube that uses the naturally occuring pressure that develops to force the liquid out of the fitting. The gas fitting takes the pressure that occurs right from the top. Liquid Nitrogen boils at something like 300 degrees below zero...so it is always creating pressure. I know of 3 kinds of dewars...low, medium, and high pressure. The pressure rating depends on the pressure rating of the dewar, and the rating of the safty...the higher pressure the safety the more pressure it allows to build before it opens. Never keep a dewar in a enclosed space, it will push out the oxygen
The Gentleman in post 97 had stated that nitrogen is good to purge the air out of a paint container, I don't rmemeber him saying anything about it being flammable.
adn999-Feel free to discuss the technical aspect of nitrogen spray systems here, but you may not put a link to your company in your post. Please see our commercial posting guidelines.
