These guys have one that runs on a smaller compressor, I sure would like to take one apart and see how to make one..
ICEsonic USA - Dry Ice Blasting Machines

in 05 when i was setting up the dry ice machine was around 7k i think. the ice was high and hard to deal with then. i think the machines are down to 2k or less today.
ice would be nice in summer here. it gets really hot in that suit here in july or august. at my age i'm thinking of selling my rig and let somebody else do it. but then i dont trust them not to destroy stuff.

Hi Shine... The costs in California dollars was $1000 for the big compressor for a week , $1000 for the ice machine for a week and $250 for 500 lbs of dry ice..
We could have done everything in 3 days but the compressor showed up a day early, the ice machine a day late. and the ice it'self a day after that.. With better planing it could have cost less..all in all with only 20 hours actual hands on it was worth it and easy going removing that undercoating with it making a cool breeze on a hot day..
The results left the oem panel coating,,the Shelbys did get this hard undercoat
stuff that was everywhere, springs,corners,etc.. Good to see ya

milo, do you have your own rig or are you farming it out ?
what are the rates out there. i looked into it back before i opened and it was scary expensive then. maybe because it was just getting popular .

|milo||Depends what parts your blasting.. Dry Ice is like butter on undercoat|

i dont sell paint nor do i work for spi . i also dont work for ppg , norton , evercoat or west systems but i do use their products as a professional and recommend them. i have also been here 10 years this month and go out of my way to help people.
digging up years old threads just to post a link is called spamming. happens here all the time . there is a large wiki article on blasting and stripping paint .

How come everything is spam lately, and sellling paint isn't? Why don't you spend more time on here actually helping people out instead of putting everything down. I know you have to be a better person in real life instead of being so sour online. At least I like to think so.
|09-14-2014 07:28 AM|
so what did you learn from the spam ?
and i researched it for a year before investing in the business .

Shine, if it's old and useless, why are you answering it? I don't see a thing wrong with doing research on something. A person may learn something, try it.
