I'm really new at this! Please excuse my ignorance!
I dropped off my flat tappet block this week.
Having it rebuilt with hyper pistons (not sure what kind), elgin cam with .45 lift(what they offered with build). It was a performance build from dependable engine shop in town. Ordering stock GM Vortec heads from Jegs or Summit, RPM intake.
Ok, so I have read SOOOO much about what to do. Need help with order and specifics, if ya can.

1. I don't really need Air Gap right? Just RPM 7116 (per techinspector1, if I remember correctly)
2. Will intake have same bolt holes for brackets? It is the first two holes from the pulleys..
3.Ordering head/intake bolts. What kind? Prices range from 25-100+.. looking for just affordable.
4.This is the most important I think. I'm almost sure there was a specific head gasket for my application to keep compression to 9.5??? Again, I show my ignorance.. Just want to run regular gas.
I don't know what my bore size is. They said it should be around .30 or .40.
Any help is always appreciated!

1. correct.
2. probably not. Some bracket mods are to be expected.
3. Pioneer and Elgin offer good quality/cost bolts that will do the job.
4. Head gasket with .039-.041" compressed thickness.
5. Compression height, dish/flat top, is a factor. Rebuilders pistons are .020" short.
