I have a 1974 VW Beetle (not super beetle) and I have been trying to locate a replacement rear window that was broken out. I have purchased a replacement window that did not fit, and then I purchased a window that was pulled directly out of a 74 beetle that did not fit. Both window were about 1.5" - 2" too short top to bottom, width was okay. Super Beetle rear window is shorter than the windows I purchased. Someone suggested that it might be a fast back version; does that make sense to anyone? I have looked up the VIN on the web that says that it's a 1974. Does anyone know how I can find a window that fits or how to confirm the type of beetle that I have?

Is this a window with rear defogger or standard without? There is no such thing as a VW Bug fastback. You can contact ISP West in California for replacement glass.
