1971BB427 Got back on the '68 Camaro. We did a few more things today, and decided after getting the narrowed stainless gas tank in that we should start it. Wouldn't start, and after some checking I found the distributor off about 90 degrees! Stabbed it correctly, and put some gas down the carb and she fired right off. Unfortunately after several attempts to get gas up to the pump, the battery died. So had to charge it before we try again. Had no side pipes on it, so it sounded pretty nice, but a bit loud.

Did a check on the front alignment also, as whoever did his chassis just bolted it up, and really didn't even get things close. Visible toe out in the front. I used a straight edge and level to plumb down across the front wheels, and in a 4' straight edge it had an inch of toe out. Readjusted the tie rods to get it back in line, and just a couple degrees toe in.

I posted my upcoming metal shaping meet on three websites today. Hopefully get another good turn out this year.

It will be nice twisting some steel with fellow car guys after a ten month break.

Wow. Not good.
And here I am whining about a lousy torn shoulder muscle.
Hope the treatment works out for you.
