I just bought a borg warner 4 speed that I'd like to identify.#on the tail 13-52-066-927 There is a sticker on top with a bar code and a #wg13-52-145.On the left side it has basic-1 and #cj2146022 the tag was hard to read but it looks like 13452-14 it has 13 splines on the input shaft and 26 on the output.Any help would be much appreciated

The only number used to ID these are the numbers on the tag, all casting numbers are of no use because they used the same parts for numerous models. The tag will start with 1352 followed by another three digit number such as 1352-001. If you cannot read the tag number, the tranny can't be ID'd.

IF your tag reads 1352-214 instead of 13452-14, it is a 1992.5 GM F-Car 2.8 V6 WC (World Class)

You need to verify the spline counts. The numbers you give are impossible for that transmission.

You have a FIVE-speed out of an 85 or 86 (88 according to the VIN you supplied, although I think you misread the VIN) S10 behind a L4-25 or V6-28 engine with 3.76 (1st), 2.18 (2nd), 1.41 (3rd), 1.00 (4th), and 0.72 (5th) gear ratios. Your input spline count is 14 and your output spline count is 27.

Upon closer inspection, you guys are right. It is a 5 speed, with 14 in 27 splines out. There is a tag on top maybe from a rebuild shop, has a bar code and #wg 13-52-145 those #'s are close to the tag # is this of any importance.I bought it hoping I could put it behind a 396 as it came from a racer, that is unlikly don't you think
