I have a 350 turbo I put in my truck about a month ago, and I noticed that when I press the gas pedal, my truck dones not automatically move forward, there is about a 2 second delay before it actually goes forward. Best way to describe it is the transmission acts like its low on tranny fluid but I know it's not. Any suggestions?

Does the fluid smell burnt? If so, your clutches are shot and you need a rebuild.

The most common cause of shift delay is too much slop in the clutches, normally meaning they need to be replaces. A worn out pump will cause the same symptoms as it takes time to build pressure to apply the clutches.

Thanks

I will try the 2 cheapest things first, fluid check and filter check. I also have a leaking weep hole which I sealed with RTV sealer at the advice of my uncle (30 years exp) do maybe that will help with fluid loss but no the fluid does not smell burnt just smells like tranny fluid .
