ogre if your using the stock front suspension you do not need to modify or remove the x-member.
motor mounts are easy to make using 2x1/4 flat stock and a short piece of 3/8 steel tubing.
use a 68 chevy truck motor mount and weld up your own

same with the trans mount.
buy the rubber mount and fab your own with some 1.25'' square tube.
cut your steel with a cutting disk in a 4'' grinder.

nothing is easier than making your own mounts, even if your a rookie.
easy peasy

Engine Swap on 1958 3100 Stepside

Hello, I am new to this forum and need to see if anyone has bought the engine and tranny mounts from Brothers and installed them and might have some tips. They are the tubular tuype that fit any small block and any turbo 350 or 700 r trans. If someone has hints or pictures I would really appreciate some help so I install the engine in the correct location and if you have to modify or remove the old trans cross member to make this a better fit. I am installing a 383 stroker with a 700R tranny.

Thank you
