BIG flares, must be a seventies creation.
Under those flares are low profile tires on very wide wheels.

No the car belong to Geoff Hacker of "Forgotten Fiberglass" The car is a Covington Tiburon “Shark”. I follow Hackers site and blog regularly. The car is a very early limited production fiberglass car from 1962. I believe it was a kit car. Hacker just took this car to the Amelia Island Concours.

They leak by design ,the converter will drain back into the pan if left for extended periods some times around shifter seal and have seen some leak at front seal,,but not a problem if driven or at least started and warmed up every couple of weeks
I have a Harley shovel head that has same design flaw,,if not started occasionaly the ball and spring stick and when you turn starter it will push out a small amount of oil vent tube to the floor ,Harley says it cannot be fixed exept with a new oil pump which will do the same thing before long ,,I have thought about trying a thinner wt oil like the newer Harleys use,,
20w50 synthetic instead of 80 wt conventional which they cam with new,

I have a drain pan under it and when I need to move the car, I pour the fluid back in a jug and then back in trans. That fluid has been "recycled" about 8 times now...
