I've seen early design filters installed in 4L60e trans with factory deep pan.. the filter falls out of the pump.

2002 truck - SUV would need the deep plastic filter to match the factory deep pan

4x4blazer mileage is 108k and fluid was dirty smelled awful, dark colored,it is showing way overfilled but it only had 5 quarts in it from filter and fluid change. was showing at the cold mark when cold before the trans started slipping.

Crosley What is the mileage on the transmission? If yu know

Was the old fluid real dirty and smell burned when the service work was performed?

Is the fluid level correct?

The lazy reverse could be hard seals, worn out clutch pack.

The fluid out the dipstick tube is usually an indication of a serious problem if the vent is not plugged up

4l60e started slipping

2002 4x4 4l60e, i recently had the fluid and filter changed and it drove great till a few days ago, it only engages in reverse around 1500-2000rpm and 1st gear engauges the way its supposed to but is slipping. also in park with engine idleing fluid comes out of the dipstick hole? i checked the upper vent and its not clogged. doesnt make any clunks or bad noises, no whining or anything like that. anybody know what is wrong and can help. thx
