|Croz||My understanding is it has more to do with your motor than your transmission. For example, SBC is going to have a different red-line and shift point than a BBC, and you could run either through the same transmission.|

Thread title say's it's a 700R4 I have my 700R4 shifting at the engines max advertised HP RPM under WOT which is around 5800rpm.

i'm guessing you're trans is a Ford product and
you have a 4.6 SOHC engine.
set the shift light at 5000 rpm and
then go up by 100's.
whatever the best time is over a 1/4 mile that
is your shift point.

Shift RPM's by Gear for 700R4 Trans
I'm installing a programable shift light on my new TCI 700R4 trans. Would anyone know what the shift RPM's should be by gear? I'd like to get some bench mark set points before I road test.
