DanTwoLakes Don't try to tweak the bobbin case. Loosening the top tension accomplishes the same thing as tightening the bottom tension.

What do you mean by "small loops on the bottom of the material" If you have loops, there is something wrong other than the tension. Are you sure you have the machine threaded properly?

needles are here

needles are installed properly, the machine sews ok but, i am getting the small loops on the bottom of the material. i need to make the bobbin tension tighter, the only problem is the screw is already as tight as it can get? does that mean it's worn out? can i take it off and give it a little tweak and put it back on and see if that works? or is this something that i have to look on line for? i just wanted to thank everybody for thier help, honestly this forum is the only one i trust for stuff like this. think about it, what did we do 15 years ago? you can literly have an answer for anything now a days!

You need a needle system 135 X 17 needle for your machine. The needles with a flat side are for home sewing machines. When you get the right needle, it will have a round end and a groove going down one side. When installed, the groove faces to the left, and the scarf of the needle faces to the right. The scarf is a hollowed out area just above the hole in the needle, and it is where the hook picks up the top thread from the needle. The needle is installed as far up into the opening in the needle bar as it will go. Once you get the right type and length needle you should be fine. Look at this link from Schmetz needles: SCHMETZ Sewing Needle Dictionary

Also look at post #3 in this thread: http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/sing...se-212480.html IT explains how to load the bobbin into the sewing machine.
