RWENUTS Or replace the screw with a machine screw that a 1/4 inch wrench will fit.

secondary screw location

Usually - on most manifolds there is nothing in the way below the carb. But...it is often very painful to get on the screw with a driver (regardless of the type of head you install) from the bottom due to heat and other obstructions.

A fellow showed me the "hillbilly" way and I've used it ever since. Replace the screw with a longer fully threaded one - that sticks out far eough to tweak it with needle nose pliers. Doesn't have to be way too long - just enough.

RWENUTS That works to.

Madmax305 It has the stock slot head screw...I was thinking about removing the screw and replacing it with an allen type and then re-install it from the top, where it would be a lot easier to adjust.

RWENUTS I took a small flat blade screwdriver, heated it a bit with a propane torch and bent a 90 in the end.
Then I could reach under and adjust it without removing the carb.
What type of a screw head does yours have?

Adjusting the secondary butterflies on a Holley?

Would something like this work on a Holley Street Avenger 670 with vacuum secondaries, or should I just put in a new allen screw from the top of the throttle plate. Any suggestions on what you guys have done to make adjusting the secondary butterflies easier.
