Malibusurfer I have always sanded with 80 grit with a DA after sandblasting!! Primer is a mechanical bond and those scratches make a great base. Also DA'ing you get rid of any dust etc hiding in crevices ( microscopic ) that sandblaster made that air may not be able to get out. Not sure if I need to, I just always have and never have had an issue..

MARTINSR What do you plan on sand blasting? DO NOT sand blast sheetmetal body panels! It is VERY dangerous as you can warp them VERY easily.

But if a piece of metal sand blasted doesn't need any sanding unless it was pretty coarse sand that was used to blast it. In that case 120 would be better.

sand blast ?

I had my model A pickup bed sand blasted and even after washing, blowing with air a few times I still ended up with sand in the color coat. I only sand blast bits and pieces that can't trap sand.
