Cleaning out a rusty fuel tank

I read that people use white vinegar to remove rust. These were motorcycle tanks. Fill the tank completely full with vinegar and let sit for 24 hrs. Empty and check results Also flush with water. To neutralize the vinegar add a cup of backing soda with water and slosh around, then rinse again. Lay an air hose inside and blow out with low pressure until dry.

Cleaning out a rusty fuel tank

I have heard that a mixture of baking soda and vinegar will also clean out a gas tank. Does anyone have the ratio for this ? Thanx in advance
