Clyde's favorite car to steal was a Ford.
He even wrote a letter to Henry Ford thanking him.

Approximately 115,000 Henry Js were produced for the models years 1951, 1954
plus 2,300 Allstates for the 1952, 53 model years.
The Allstate was built by Kaiser Frazer and was nothing more than a thinly disguised Henry J with all Kaiser badging removed and replaced by Sears Allstate tags.
The 1952 Henry J Vagabond, referred to as Early issue in much of the factory literature, was simply those approximately 7000 1951 models that had not been sold at the end of the 1951 model year with a few trim changes.
The Henry J could be purchased new with one of two engines, a 68 hp four cylinder and a 80 hp six cylinder.

|BuzzLOL||. Sears Allstate scooters made by Piaggio of Italy... motorcycles by Puch of Germany(?)... biggest motorcycle was a 175cc or 250cc w/ twingle engine... 2 cylinders with one piston... oval shaped... two rods... about as tricky to make as a 3 bbl. Holley carb...|

. They also sold mopeds and motorscooters and houses...
. Turboniques using a variation of the old 1930-40's Ford truck banjo style rear centersections with axle tubes that bolt onto the sides of it...

I figure you are correct, you likely couldn't put it on any type of stock axle housing...I never studied it that far.
As far as a new trivia question..
Sears once sold cars from their store showrooms,.... What were they called, what company made them, and what other name were they more commonly known by??
EDIT: I should have searched before I asked, you guy's have already tackled this one.
someone else got a good question??

. Also a Turbonique 'Self-powered Supercharger'... officially known as Auxillary Power Supercharger. Liguid-fueled gas turbine spun the centrifugal supercharger at the flip of a dash mounted switch:
. "Testing took a 1963 409 from 405 HP up to 835 HP"
. A 1,980 HP Turbonique jet 'thrust' engine cost $199... sometimes TWO were put on back of a Go-kart...!

|BuzzLOL||. That's part of the spec.'s... not the differential housing, just the differential...|

|BuzzLOL||. You could use the differential and ring gear from your 3/4 ton truck rearend with this turbine...|
