boothboy Nope Crash got the correct answer that I was looking for. As for his question I remember reading about the cassette player in the vehicle he has asked about. I listen to numerous "Books on Tape" that I get from my local library ( today's radio sucks!)and have kept switching radio units that have Both tape and CD capability. I keep buying the same vehicle over and over with lower mileage. So when Crash's vehicle in question was written about it caught my attention.
I'll let it go for a while so everyone has a wack at the answer.

I believe the '57 version was the last year for that nomenclature.

Dad had a 1951 Dodge truck pretty similar to this one but bigger. It was green, had a visor, clearance lights, air horns and a swan on the hood that lite up at night. It was a big enough truck to have air brakes. I remember hauling livestock to the stockyards in Omaha when I was small.

My brother has a 1950 that looks like this one. It's a one ton with a red cab and a black box.

Seems that Dodge pickups were "Job Rated" in the 50's.
