Now I'm gonna blow your minds:
Formally established in 1982 at a festival in Algiers by Ibrahim Ag Alhabib Alhassan ag Touhami and fire Intayaden, Taghreft Tinariwen, which means tamasheq "nation building" has played an important role during the Tuareg rebellion 1990s, spreading messages of hope and resistance to their compatriots. Originally, the three friends are playing on an acoustic guitar they share, before meeting an orchestra of Tuareg musicians, voice of the Hoggar singing in Arabic and offer to Ibrahim his first electric guitar. In Tamanrasset, they give concerts accompanied by three women. After this period of exile in Algeria, Ibrahim, Intayeden Alhassan meet Alhousseini Abdoulahi ag, ag Kedhou Ossad Mohammed said "Japanese" in the training camps in Libya. The group is expanding its new members. Lorsqu'éclate rebellion in 1990, they returned to Mali with weapons in hand and slung guitars. They then find themselves integrated into the Popular Movement of Azawad under the command of Iyad ag Ghali to help them finance the purchase of musical instruments.
Dig that bass player If I close my eyes I can translate these songs into something like "My baby done left me and I'm so sad and blue"!

Very very nice - - - sure brings back memories of Denver, The Dirt Band, Poco, Buffalo, CS&N and others when they would occasionally switch over to acoustic and offer it up real pure and clean.
Great pickers and vocalists - - -

after you turned us onto LSD (Lake Street Dive), I sent it to Olnolan and now he's a fan and due to all of that music sharing he sent me this video of a band that will be performing at the House of Blues in N'Orlins Oct 14th along with LSD. If they end up jamming together it just may be near cardiac experience for the music lovers present.
