i'm telling you our society IS dying.
When i think of a big rig the image of a w900 in the first think that comes to mind. It just has that classic look to it. The new t680 looks pretty cool though. They did a nice job on the aero look. Much better than the t2000 which i have heard nothing but bad about.
.
I've seriously considered being a truck driver. The thing i worried about is the money and never being home.

against all odds Yes. Now you have mama's boys painting them, but they're all white.

There's no creativity anymore.

are you refering to the Gary Ridgeway,,, better known as the Green River Killer?

against all odds i would say kenworth probably had some of the best styling, but even they have lost it.

against all odds i would say each and every new road tractor has very poor styling----aerodynamic benefits are dubious. (and what the heck happened to the paint jobs?)

What can we, as a society, do to save ourselves from ourselves?

AutoGear My brother still Remembers factory fresh Brockways (hes 44). Sad when they left Cortland, NY. Last "Huskie" was built June 8, 1977 I believe. A lot were shipped to Iran back in the 70s.

Nice! I love the looks of the older trucks, Macks always had a tough look to them.

Hold on there big fella To some fathers "My Old Man" is a term of endearment. I know I called my Dad that specifically because he told me once he liked it.......

Back on topic...

I took this photo yesterday at work of a couple pressure vessels I designed shipping out for heat treating. The place I work has a couple of these long nose Pete's whick IMO are about as good looking a truck as any that have ever been built. As a youngster I thought I would be a truck driver.... ended up as an Engineer but never lost my love of the big rigs.
