|chevota'54||Hay Guys, sub frameing are good, but with a little thought you can use the org. framing, is'nt that what hottroddin is all about. as far as the Dodge is concerned, and you wanna go stright 6, you gotta go slant.I'm Bow Tie myself, so if ya got a 250 strt6 call me.|

I agree with the choice of a Nova subframe, after market steering geometry parts and pieces are readily available and same with the rear diff. Lots of after market products out there from stock to 4 link or whatever your heart desires.
As for the engine, I would stick with GM, easier mounting, easier to upgrade in the future if you set your sites on a V8 and easier get parts for.
Sorry Brian, but if he's got a Nova subframe, I'm thinking stay with a GM power plant. The car isn't original anyway.

Thanks for the reply. I like the idea of the slant six, lots of modifications available and there should be plenty of them out there.

Welcome, I am not a fan of the sub frame but on your car I think it may be a pretty good choice being the front of the frame is pretty hard to modify. I am a Chevy six nut but how about running a slant six or something Chrysler?

Hello! Building a 41 Dodge
I am brand new to this forum but have been a car nut for many years. I am currently working on a 41 Dodge and plan to install a frontsteer Nova Subframe and the Nova rear axle under it. I am not sure about the power train yet but I was thinking about using an inline 6 chevy engine just for something a little different. Any thoughts?
