booneloper tried to remove the line, super hard to remove,it will release if you bleed it at the calpier. how do you know if the master cylinder is going bad,?

T-bucket23 Bad rubber line maybe. this is common. if you can duplicate the problem. Jack it up pull the wheel and loosen the bleeder and see if it releases. If it does most likely the rubber line is collapsed. If not it could be the caliper. You can accomplish a similar test by cracking the line at the master. If it releases then your master cylinder rod may be adjusted to long.

66GMC Front Brakes or Rear?

On the front (disc brakes) ... it's likely a caliper problem. Are the pads worn equally on both sides of the rotor (inboard pad / outboard pad)?

On the rear (drum brakes), look for a leaking oil seal, de-laminated friction material, and ALL brake hardware.

brakes not releasing on one side

having trouble with my 86 silverado 2wd truck, the brakes on the passenger side will not release once applied, ive changed the brakes and bleed brakes. theres no air in the lines,but the brake still wont release, if the truck sits for awhile the brake will release. dont think lines are colapsed. can anyone help thanks so much
