V305 you will have to replace the intake, avoid adapters as much as posible

rickybrighton do i have to change the intake or do they make a adapter plate that swaps it an where would i go to start looking into the q-jet swap

rickybrighton i heared something like that but the vortec 454 has more low end torqe an i can build it they way i like plus my old motor is lost compression an i think it has a flat lope

adantessr Were you aware that you can bolt a Q-jet on in place of the TBI and replace the dist with an HEI ? Half of your work is done right there.

rickybrighton Well I guess its just that I really want a standard an I always loved the power u can get from a carb engine an im tired of having electrical problems with sensors an stuff

engine an tranny swap

i have a 95 k2500 with 454 tbi an 4l80e i want to swap to a caburated 98 454 vortec with a nv4500 does anyone have any opions or helpful hints in the swap that might save money an time
