Well they unbolt from the Volare but are then welded in. At least all I have seen have the frame rails cut to shape then welded in.
I really had my hopes up. It would have been a great way to raise it. It looks like my only hope is some custom fabbed raised spindles. It looks like there are a few shops that do this kind of work but it looks like most of them want to do the same spindles they have been doing.

volare to truck swap,
I looked at a early 50's truck a while back, got down and looked under it and the guy said it unbolted, for the truck swap he trimmed the crossmember, I just checked the ford truck forum and they go thru a list of Mopar swaps into ford trucks,

timothale, I'll have to look at my manual too see but i think its welded in.
MARTINSR, they still make raised spindles for a lot of trucks on the market. It looks like I might have to find a good welder. Its probally a little more than I want to tackel with my stick welder LOL

They can be cut and welded but you better have a QUALIFIED welder weld them!

Doesn't the Volarie have a bolt in crossmember, put some spacers between the frame structure and the crossmember.

Volare spindles.... raised?
Anyone know if you can buy raised volarie spindles anywhere? Or can they be cut and rewelded? The torsion bars are cranked up as high as I feel comfortable going.
