abbazabba Was that on 4x4 models as well. Sorry I don't think i specified that. I saw that tin cup thing on the 2wd model shaft.

motosyco When that trans was new there used to be a tin cup with an oring in it that was pressed on in that location on the output shaft it used to seal the opening of the yoke to keep it from filling with oil gm stopped using and Ive never seen a rebuilder put it back on

abbazabba There is a grove machined into the shaft at that location that looks like it would hold an oring or something. My atsg manual does list a "output shaft seal" in that area.

Crosley.. are you saying there is no seal of any sort on the output shaft?

I need help finding the right seal for my output shaft? What type of seal is it? Standard Color? See the picture. thanks
