1971BB427 Changed out spark plugs on the SBC in my Burb today, and had a fun time with #5 cylinder! All went well up to that point, and then I discovered not a single deep well socket would fit past the header on that plug! Had to use an old offset box wrench and remove it 1/8th turn at a time! Used the rubber hose trick to get the new plug started in, and then same routine to tighten it! Hope I don't have to do that one again for a very long time!

Isn't that where car guys are supposed to sleep??

matts37chev Today ripped out my seats and carpet etc to start trying to make it a bunch quieter inside.
A few holes to get rid of and lots of insulation to install.

Whatever I guess for how long it will ake I need to multiply by 2

Just finished swapping the turbo on my son's car from a T3 to a T4. Of course we had to make a new downpipe, re-engineer the turbo drain, make a new manifold to turbo spacer, found a cracked weld on the right side header - fixed, tightened the plug gaps, installed a set of Taylor plug wires, hooked up and wired a knock sensor, installed a bunch of heat wrap on the alternator and starter wiring.

Figured I could swap the turbo in a week and half - took 3 weeks by the time we gathered additional parts and fininshed all of the 'might as wells'. And installed a new starter that someone gave us - MSD mini, even though the old one worked just fine.

I gave my wife heck because she said it would take 3 weeks when I told her we'd have it running the week before last. I'm wondering if she is psychic or just smarter than me!! I guess maybe she knows me after 20+ years - LOL.

Do not be fooled! He's vying for his own reality tv program!
