dinger She had an addiction problem in the 90's, cleaned up and had a re-start, thanks in part to Jeff Beck. An amazing voice, I love her blues stuff, but she also has a very sweet side. I listened to her You-tube videos for a couple hours last night, amazing voice. Check out her video where she appears with Beck at Wimberly, standing ovation in a tribute to Buddy Guy. Buddy had tears in his eyes.

Are things still happening in San Francisco?

My daughter does a great job singing White Rabbit. All the people around my age that have heard her sing it tell me I did a heck of a job raising her.

Both my kids inherited my love of music. Since my son got divorced he has picked up his guitar again, I didn't see much of it when he was married to the "Fun Nazi", that was the nickname his friends had for her. She pretty much had his friends chased away also, I know I never felt welcome around her. He is also getting a band together again, he's back.

boothboy Well you got half of it. That was the last recorded song she did. She did die just days after. She was 27.

The second interesting about that recording is that it wasn't planned. After finishing the last song for her album, Pearl, they discovered the were a little short on the B side. She stepped up to the mike and sang Mercedes Benz as you hear it on the video. One take, unrehearsed and the album was complete. No music because the band didn't know it.

There you have the rest of the story.

Two things were very significant about this recording. What were they?
