It amazes me how different we are, all you have to do is look at someones car inside. I am middle of the road, not a pig, not a clean freak. I am amazed at cars I work on, I will get into a 2016 car that is a PIGSTY, so smelly and disgusting I have roll down the window so I don't puke as I pull it in the shop. These people are making a payment every month on this car, how in the world do they let it get so filthy? I mean spilled food and dirty clothes. Interior panels ruined, sticky, disgusting!
Then I get into another like a 03 Ford Crown Vic we have right now that looks like BRAND NEW inside. What shame, it's a total, hit very hard in the rear but I still hate to see it leave on the hook, it's so nice.
We have had cars with a 1000 miles on them in the shop that aren't as clean as that Crown Vic.
But how in the hell do you make a payment on a car every month and crap in it?

Scrubbing and cleaning this old truck.
I sold this truck to a good friend 10 years ago. It was my mother in laws and she wanted a new car. He called me last week wanting to sell it so I bought it back and my God was it a mess. Black mold covered the whole truck it took two washes with greased lightening to get it to here it still has some grime but for now its good enough I pulled the nasty seats out and had to call in the big guns (someone else to clean it) Its a good truck with only 60,000 miles its just been neglected for 10 years it has had the oil changed regularly though. It s been a full week of cleaning and fixing little stuff like door lock actuators, headliner which I did myself (first time). Anyways its still not done but it is getting there.
Oh, BTW, I painted this 17 years ago.

All I have been working on is my picture frame. I am doing this a foot away from my truck though, so I am getting closer.

I love having them BTW. Saved me from having to change a tire in the rain. Had a nail in it, stopped at a gas station on way home and aired it up. Ran it down to the tire shop the next day. I have a compressor in my garage and a very bad back.

I have still been dinken around with positioning the engine in Precious. Ordered a set of '69 Camaro motor and frame mounts which should be here Saturday. In the mean time I have finished E brake brackets, planned brake and fuel line routing but nothing worth photo documentation.
I did clean the shop a little.

Passed my framing inspection for the deck yesterday. Just need to add the deck boards and pickets and can call him back for occupancy inspection.
Everything inspection wise will be done except a stand up shower in the basement and one in the upstairs en suite washrooms. I'll finish those without a permit.
After that, I need to call the water police to check the grading and get my deposit back.

Speaking of summer tires, anyone know about these stoopid tire sensors?
Does the same wheel have to go back to the same position?
I got my compressor fixed today. A couple new reeds and a coupla gaskets and she's good to go.
Oh great, no excuse not to install the wife's summer tires now.

Did I break the thread or did nobody do anything on hump day?

Here is a funny bunny for you Brian. It is there every day this time of year. I think it may want to race.
Now don't let this harsh your mellow-
I'll weld up some junk on the microdatson tail end tomorrow, near the tail lights where a rough previous qtr install and some leftover crash work from it is showing. Mud man is getting a break from sliding paper by gutting the Biscayne dash and if you study hard you can see the hood and trunk lid from that in urethane primer...
