Crosley Sometimes bearings wear out for no direct cause. I would suggest the thrust washers, bushings and bearing all be replaced in the gear train.

Check clearances and check for wear. Look at the planetary pinion pins for movement forward and backwards. When the pins move , they wear into the thrust washer

Th400 locked up

I'm a newbie to this site. Anyone with some info about my transmission problem please help.

T-400 locked up

Take apart transmission and found the torrington bearing between the reaction carrie and sun gear is munched up. All other bearings and internal parts look good. What would cause this?
