now, what's up with the non-front bumper?

i like the gasser look, but have been thinking of vintage nerf bars.

With mine, it would rattle for ten minutes if you slammed the door; but it started every morning, even when it was -20

Mine was a beat-up work truck so it wasn't really Beach Boys material...
Somebody did write a song about it, though

I like the look, the stock C10/C20's had the cheese grater grill, which was, well, cheesy
I cut the cheese grater out of mine and then added some stainless tubing for a cleaner look.

|Indian113||They were cheap around here, but it seems more people are fixing them up they are getting expensive to buy. I have a 64 and I get asked all the time about selling it. I should sell it and buy one already done I would be Money ahead.|

I use to buy and sell a lot of those 60-66 pick-ups. Easy to work on, cheap parts and cheap to buy . My all time favorite was the 1960 model . I still love that Lumpty-Lump hood. Always went well with a sbc equipped with Lumpty-Lump heads.

|techinspector1||I don't have one now, but have owned several '64-'66 Chevy short bed stepsides. No prettier truck on the planet in my eyes. I like the 292 banger with a granny 4-spd. First thing you want to do is put a centerforce clutch in and replace every piece of the clutch linkage. Makes 'em drive like a dream.|

Custom Side Trim - 1965 C10 Step Side SWB
Finished the custom side trim on my C10 today. I used some used OEM trim but modified the layout from what was used at the factory. There's more details in regard to the trim in my build thread.
Chevy never installed factory side trim on their step side beds, circa 1963 thru 1966 trucks. Even when they used side trim on the cab and front fenders, no trim on the bed? So, I figured I'd jump in where the factory left off.
The added white color on the rear fenders balances out the two tone paint. Kind of an homage to the Bel Air trim Chevy used on their factory Hot Rods.
So tell me, what do ya think?
